Executive Director Search – Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools

The Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools (MFIS) is seeking a dynamic, dedicated and enterprising individual to assume the position of Executive Director starting on August 21, 2017. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a commitment to the welfare and growth of independent schools in Manitoba in the context of MFIS’s mandate to support independent education and parental choice in education within the Province of Manitoba.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, leadership, written and oral communication skills. As MFIS’s Executive Director, this individual will require a sound understanding of the legislated and policy context in which Manitoba independent schools operate, as well as ways and means through which the interests of independent schools and their supporting communities may be promoted and further enhanced in the Province.

Required qualifications are as follows:

  • At least five years administrative experience in an independent school setting in Manitoba or a comparable Canadian jurisdiction
  • A post-graduate degree or proven record of leadership
  • Possession of a Manitoba professional teaching certificate or eligibility to hold the same
