MFIS is delighted to offer this school year’s last workshop in the Leadership Education Series. It is an in-person half-day session on the Mamàhtawisiwin: The Wonder We Are Born With—An Indigenous Education Policy Framework. This session is for decision-makers such as principals, vice-principals, administrators, and school leaders.

“This is a provincial policy directive and conceptual framework that supports the holistic achievements of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit learners by assisting Manitoba educators in incorporating Indigenous pedagogy, languages, and cultures into their teaching and practices.”

Session Overview:

Michael McCrossan and Shawna Nagler from the Indigenous Inclusion Directorate of Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning will discuss Mamàhtawisiwin: The Wonder We Are Born With—An Indigenous Education Policy Framework, orientating participants to the Mamàhtawisiwin Supplement: Tools for Reflection, Planning and Reporting & the Elders and Knowledge Keeper in Schools Initiative Guidelines.
